Red Sox 8, Mariners 7 (10):
Daniel Nava singled in the go-ahead run with two outs in the 10th inning and Steven Wright turned in a strong performance in relief as visiting Boston clinched a series win over Seattle.

Nava was 0-for-5 in the game and down 1-2 in the count before just getting enough of a curveball from Tom Wilhelmsen (0-3) to send it up the middle and plate pinch runner Jackie Bradley Jr. Wright (1-0) allowed three hits in 5 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up his first major-league win and Koji Uehara worked the bottom of the 10th for his seventh save.

Jacoby Ellsbury homered and drove in two while Brock Holt and Jose Iglesias each recorded two RBIs for the Red Sox, who took three of four in the series. Kyle Seager homered and Brad Miller doubled among two hits and scored twice for the Mariners.

Boston took the early lead when Ellsbury led off the game with a home run to right but fell behind as Seattle rallied for four runs in the second. Seager sent a tying solo homer into the first row in right to spark the uprising and Miller added an RBI ground-rule double before Endy Chavez’s single plated a pair.

The Mariners tacked on another run in the third before the Red Sox began to mount a comeback with a three straight RBI singles in the fourth. Seattle knocked Ryan Dempster out with two more runs in the fourth to make it a 7-4 gap, but the Red Sox continued to chip away with another rally and tied it when Iglesias’ single plated Johnny Gomes in the fifth.
