Diamondbacks 4, Rockies 2: Gerardo Parra went 2-for-4 and scored two runs and Patrick Corbin pitched effectively into the seventh as host Arizona claimed three of four in the series and pulled even with Colorado atop the National League West standings.

Corbin (3-0) held the Rockies to two runs on nine hits over 6 2/3 innings before handing it over to the Diamondbacks' bullpen. Three relievers combined to hold Colorado to one hit the rest of the way with J.J. Putz stranding runners at second and third in the ninth for his fifth save.

The Diamondbacks scored their first two runs in the third, when Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario's passed ball and starter Jon Garland's (2-2) wild pitch each allowed one run to come home in the same at-bat. Josh Wilson's RBI double made it 3-0 in the fourth, and Parra tripled and scored on Cody Ross' single to make it 4-0 in the fifth.

The Rockies cut the lead in half in the sixth as Dexter Fowler singled home a run and later scored on Corbin's wild pitch, but Colorado couldn't get any closer. The Rockies had two on with two out in the seventh, but reliever Matt Reynolds came on and got a pop-up from Eric Young to end the threat.

Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left in the third inning with a left shoulder strain. He is listed as day-to-day and was to be re-evaluated after the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rockies begin a three-game road series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday, while Arizona hosts San Francisco for a three-game set. … Parra extended his hitting streak to a career-high 13 games, the longest in the National League. … Colorado 3B Nolan Arenado went 0-for-3 with a walk in his major-league debut and was robbed of a hit on a sliding catch by CF Parra in the seventh.
