Orioles 7, Red Sox 6: Ryan Flaherty had two hits and drove in two runs as Baltimore closed it season with a victory at home.

Flaherty entered the game in fourth inning following an injury to Chris Davis and had a single and double as the Orioles (85-77) scored all its runs off relievers. Davis, who left the game after injuring his hand on a play at first base, walked in his lone plate appearance and finished with a league-leading 53 homers and 138 RBI - one better than Detroit's Miguel Cabrera.

Jacoby Ellsbury opened the game with his 10th leadoff home run and Quintin Berry added a two-run shot for Boston (97-65), which will host the wild-card winner in Game 1 of an American League Division Series on Friday. Mike Carp drove in a run and Jarrod Saltalamacchia scored on an error as the Red Sox built a 5-0 advantage.

Steve Clevenger had the first hit of the game for Baltimore in the fifth and he and Jonathan Schoop came around to score on the 27th double of the season by J.J. Hardy. Flaherty followed with an RBI single and Nate McLouth plated two runs with a double to tie it 5-5.

T.J. McFarland (4-1) earned the victory and Jim Johnson notched his 50th save for the Orioles, who finished 12 games back of Boston. Felix Doubrount came on in relief of starter Allen Webster and gave up five hits and five runs in 1 1/3 innings and Rubby De La Rosa (0-2) took the loss after Schoop singled and later scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by Matt Thornton.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Davis finished with 371 total bases, which eclipses the team record of 369 set by Brady Anderson in 1996. ... John McDonald got the start at second base and had two hits and scored a run for Boston. ... Nick Markakis had one hit, two walks, and one run scored for Baltimore.
