Orioles 10, Rays 7: Adam Jones and J.J. Hardy each recorded three hits and knocked in two runs as visiting Baltimore built an eight-run lead and held on to avoid a three-game sweep.

Alexi Casilla and Nick Markakis each added two RBIs and Steve Pearce was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Orioles, who totaled 16 hits. Baltimore starter Chris Tillman (6-2) was the beneficiary of the offensive outburst, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits over six innings to earn the win.

Sam Fuld hit a two-run homer and Ben Zobrist had a solo blast for the Rays, who had won their previous five games against Baltimore. Tampa Bay starter Matt Moore (8-2) struggled for the second straight start, yielding nine runs (eight earned) on 12 hits over five innings.

Hardy and Jones delivered back-to-back RBI doubles as the Orioles scored twice in the first inning. Manny Machado and Hardy matched that in the second and Casilla recorded a sacrifice fly for a 5-0 lead.

Baltimore scored three more in the third, highlighted by an RBI single from Casilla, and Jones hammered his 12th homer to left-center field in the fourth for a 9-1 lead. Tommy Hunter struck out Desmond Jennings with two on and two out in the bottom of the eighth and Jim Johnson got the final out with two on in the ninth for his 21st save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Orioles matched a season high with seven doubles, capped by Markakis' run-scoring two-base hit in the seventh for a 10-3 lead. … Baltimore 1B Chris Davis, who belted three homers and knocked in 11 runs in his last visit to Tampa Bay, was hitless in five at-bats Sunday and 0-for-12 in the series. … Moore, who came into the game 2-0 against the Orioles this season, has allowed 15 runs (14 earned) in seven innings over his last two starts.
