Rockies 17, Giants 8: Carlos Gonzalez tripled twice and had four RBIs as host Colorado pounded out 22 hits in the shortest start of Tim Lincecum's career.

Lincecum, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, allowed six runs on eight hits in 2 1/3 innings as the Rockies raced to a 6-0 lead after three innings.

The Giants, though, exploded for seven runs in the fourth inning - six off starter Jeremy Guthrie, who allowed nine hits in 3 1/3 innings in his home debut.

Colorado responded with three in the bottom half and seven more in the fifth en route to snapping a three-game losing streak.

Michael Cuddyer had three doubles as 11 of the Rockies' hits went for extra bases. The 17 runs were the most the Rockies have ever scored without hitting a home run.

Gonzalez had RBI triples in the first and third innings, a run-scoring groundout in the fourth and an RBI single in the fifth. He also scored three runs.

Todd Helton, Dexter Fowler, Chris Nelson and Gonzalez also had three hits.

Nate Schierholtz hit two homers and Brandon Crawford also went deep for San Francisco. Schierholtz and Crawford went back-to-back to start the Giants' uprising in the fourth.

Matt Reynolds (1-0) relieved Guthrie and allowed one run in 1 2/3 innings.

Guillermo Mota (0-1) was the third of six Giants pitchers and allowed five runs (four earned) and six hits in one inning.

Gonzalez was 3-for-17 entering the game. ... Lincecum's ERA is 12.91. ... Sandoval went 2-for-5 and is 14-for-32 against the Rockies since the start of 2011. ...
