Padres 7, Brewers 6: Chase Headley hit a game-tying RBI triple and scored on Yonder Alonso's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning as visiting San Diego rallied from a six-run deficit and salvaged the finale of the season-ending three-game series.

Headley added a run-scoring double to finish with a National League-leading 115 RBIs while Chris Denorfia and Cameron Maybin homered for the Padres, who had lost six of their previous seven games.

Denorfia began San Diego's comeback with a solo blast in the fourth and Headley capped a two-run fifth with his double before Maybin's two-run shot a frame later cut Milwaukee's lead to 6-5. Headley followed Will Venable's leadoff walk in the seventh with a triple off Jim Henderson (1-3) and scored the winning run two batters later.

Tommy Layne (2-0) picked up the win after retiring all four batters he faced and Luke Gregerson struck out two in a perfect ninth inning for his ninth save.

Travis Ishikawa had an RBI groundout and a three-run double for the Brewers, who lost only six of their final 28 home games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Headley, who already had set career highs in RBIs, homers (31), hits (173), runs (95) and walks (86), matched his personal bests with his 31st double and 17th stolen base. ... The Brewers finished with an NL-high 202 home runs, with OF Ryan Braun belting a league-leading 41 shots. Braun finished three RBIs behind Headley for the NL lead. ... Milwaukee's pitchers fanned six batters, ending the season with a total of 1,402 strikeouts - three shy of eclipsing the 2003 Chicago Cubs' all-time record.
