Diamondbacks 9, Brewers 3: Aaron Hill recorded his second cycle in 11 days and Paul Goldschmidt collected four hits - including a three-run homer to highlight a five-run third inning - as visiting Arizona breezed past Milwaukee.
Hill, who also hit for a cycle against Seattle on June 18, joined Babe Herman (1931) as the only players in the Live Ball Era with two in a season.
After collecting his 1,000th career hit with a ground-rule double in the first, Hill added a single in the third before launching a two-run homer in the fourth. Hill completed his historic night by plating Willie Bloomquist with an RBI triple in the sixth to give Arizona a 9-1 lead.
Ian Kennedy (6-7) benefited from the power display to rebound from a May 25 loss to Milwaukee. Kennedy allowed three runs on six hits in seven innings to pick up the win.
Henry Blanco had an RBI double and Justin Upton and Jason Kubel added run-scoring singles for the Diamondbacks, who have defeated the Brewers in three of four meetings this season.
Randy Wolf (2-6) matched season highs by permitting eight runs on nine hits in four innings to take the loss.
Cesar Izturis ripped a two-run double for the Brewers, who have dropped five of their last six games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Reigning National League MVP Ryan Braun returned after missing Wednesday's game with a bruised left elbow. He went 1-for-4. ... Wolf allowed eight runs in a loss to Atlanta on April 13. He yielded nine hits on four other occasions this season. ... Kubel, who went 2-for-5 on Friday, is 8-for-15 with a homer and four RBIs against Milwaukee this season.
