Brewers 9, Astros 6:
Nyjer Morgan snapped out of a season-long slump with three hits as host Milwaukee hit four home runs in the victory.

Weeks belted a two-out, two-strike three-run shot to center of Houston starter Bud Norris to cap a five-run sixth inning to give the Brewers a 7-2 advantage.

Morgan, who did not start Monday’s series opener, came in hitting .119 and had just one hit in his past 22 at-bats. Morgan finished 3-for-5 with three singles, raising his average 51 points to .170.

The Astros tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth on Carlos Lee’s double to left-center, scoring J.D. Martinez. But the Brewers jumped all over Norris in the bottom of the inning. Corey Hart followed Aramis Ramirez’s leadoff single with a two-run homer to center, giving Milwaukee a 4-2 lead.

George Kottaras walked and Alex Gonzalez singled to center. Norris got two outs, but Weeks took him deep on a 1-2 pitch.

Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf (1-2) gave up four hits and two runs in six innings. Jose Altuve hit a one-out solo homer in the second off Wolf, who struck out four and walked four.

Norris (1-1) allowed nine hits and seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, striking out six and walking three. He gave up three homers, including Travis Ishikawa’s two-run homer to right in the fifth.

Houston rallied with four runs in the eighth off Milwaukee reliever Kameron Loe. Chris Johnson, Justin Maxwell and Jed Lowrie drove in runs.

John Axford pitched the ninth for his fourth save.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Carlos Gomez hit a solo homer in the eighth for Milwaukee, which leads the NL in homers with 24. … Norris, who tied for eighth in the NL last year in homers allowed (24), had given up just two long balls in his first three starts. … Houston fell to 2-7 in road games.
