Reds 3, Cardinals 2 (10):
Ryan Ludwick’s one-out line-drive homer in the 10th inning gave Cincinnati its fifth straight win in walkoff fashion.

Ludwick's shot to left off Victor Marte (2-2) came after a long at-bat and put the Reds temporarily in sole possession of first place in the NL Central. Pittsburgh pulled back into a tie following its 6-4 win over Milwaukee later on Saturday.

Sam LeCure (3-2) pitched a scoreless 10th for the win as Cincinnati evened the season series with St. Louis at four games apiece.

Brandon Phillips got the Reds going with a two-out single in the fifth. Jay Bruce followed with a hit-and-run double into the right-field corner as Phillips scored without a throw. Cozart’s sixth-inning sacrifice fly made it 2-0.

Yadier Molina sparked St. Louis’ two-run seventh with a solo homer, tying the career-high 14 he belted last year. Rafael Furcal’s beautiful drag bunt against a shifted defense scored Skip Schumaker with the tying run. It stayed tied until Ludwick, a former Cardinal, barely cleared the fence with his line drive.

Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday extended his hitting streak to 13 games, going 1-for-5.

Reds starter Mike Leake allowed two runs on seven hits in six-plus innings, while St. Louis’ Kyle Lohse allowed two runs on eight hits in six innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: St. Louis activated 1B Lance Berkman, who’s been out with a knee injury since May 19, and sent OF Shane Robinson to Triple-A Memphis before the game. Berkman struck out as a pinch-hitter. … Reds 3B Scott Rolen, who had been dealing with back spasms, started for only the second time in 10 games and went 2-for-4 with a run scored. … The Cards did not get a runner to third in the first six innings.
