Giants 7, Cubs 5: Angel Pagan drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the ninth against his former team as visiting San Francisco claimed the rubber match of a three-game series at Wrigley Field to keep their National League West lead at 4.5 games over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Cubs closer Carlos Marmol (2-3) walked two ahead of Pagan's single up the middle, which scored Gregor Blanco to break a 5-5 tie. Marco Scutaro followed with another run-scoring single up the middle for a 7-5 cushion.

Santiago Casilla (6-5) recorded the final two outs in the eighth and one out in the ninth for the win, and Javier Lopez induced a double-play ball from Joe Mather for his sixth save.

The Giants staked ace Matt Cain to a 3-0 lead, getting RBI singles from Pagan, Pablo Sandoval and Buster Posey in the third, but Cain couldn't make it stand up. David DeJesus cut into the lead with run-scoring singles in the third and fifth, and Alfonso Soriano crushed his 25th homer into the bleachers in left-center to put Chicago ahead 5-3 in the fifth.

The Cubs couldn't hold the lead, either, as Xavier Nady doubled with two outs in the sixth to chase starter Travis Wood and reliever Manuel Corpas allowed an RBI triple to pinch hitter Brandon Belt and uncorked a wild pitch that brought Belt home with the tying run.

Nady, who drove in three runs in his Giants debut Saturday, was 2-for-2 with two walks and scored twice. Darwin Barney went 3-for-4 and scored two runs for the Cubs.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Soriano is the 10th player in Cubs' history with at least four seasons of 25 or more home runs. … Soriano also made an impressive play in left field, jumping up against the ivy-covered wall to rob Cain on a deep fly ball in the fourth. … DeJesus has 15 RBIs in his last 17 games. He had 30 RBIs in the previous 107 games. … Nady's multi-hit game was his first in the majors since April 11 with Washington, the only time he had multiple hits in 40 games with the Nationals. … The Giants begin a three-game series at Arizona on Monday to start a six-game homestand, while the Cubs start a 10-game road trip when they begin a four-game set at Washington on Monday.
