Twins 14, Indians 3: Ryan Doumit belted a three-run homer and Josh Willingham and Justin Morneau added solo blasts in a 10-run second inning as visiting Minnesota sent spiraling Cleveland to its 10th consecutive loss.
Morneau homered twice and drove in four runs and Joe Mauer had three hits and three RBIs as the Twins beat the Indians for the sixth straight time.
Rookie left-hander Scott Diamond (10-5) rode the offensive explosion to his second win in 11 days over Cleveland, allowing three runs - two earned - on seven hits in seven innings.
Twins right fielder Ben Revere added four hits, three runs scored and an RBI to extend his hitting streak to a career-high 20 games as Minnesota won for the eighth time in 11 games.
Zach McAllister (4-4) was battered for nine runs (only two earned) and six hits in 1 2/3 innings to absorb his third straight defeat and give Cleveland its ninth 10-game losing streak in franchise history.
A two-out error by Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis with the score 2-0 kept the second inning alive. Revere and Morneau sandwiched RBI singles around Mauer's two-run double before Doumit capped the outburst by greeting Josh Tomlin with a three-run blast.
Carlos Santana hit a two-run homer for Cleveland, which was swept in Minnesota from July 27-29 to start the current 10-game slide and has been outscored 42-9 in its last four losses to the Twins.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Willingham tied his career high with his 29th homer and Morneau's second blast, a two-run shot in the fourth, was the 200th of his career. Morneau became the fourth Canadian-born player to hit 200 homers, joining Larry Walker (383), Matt Stairs (265) and Jason Bay (208). ... The lopsided loss enabled Cleveland to become the 13th team in major league history to allow at least five runs in each game of a 10-game losing streak. ... Minnesota scored 10 runs in an inning for the first time since June 4, 2002, which also came against Cleveland. ... Indians DH Travis Hafner was out of the lineup due to back stiffness. ... Revere's hitting streak is the longest for the Twins since Torii Hunter hit in 23 straight in 2007. He's also the seventh player this season with a hitting streak of at least 20 games. ... The Indians claimed right-handed pitcher Fabio Martinez off waivers from the Angels on Monday.
