Twins 18, White Sox 9: Chris Parmelee swatted a three-run homer and visiting Minnesota erupted for seven- and 10-run innings to crush Chicago.

Ryan Doumit also homered and had three RBIs and Eduardo Escobar added two hits and three RBIs for Minnesota, which ended the White Sox's eight-game home winning streak.

Rookie Scott Diamond (11-6) used the offensive outburst to overcome a rocky first inning and halt a four-start winless slide. He allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings.

Chicago, which maintained its one-game lead over Detroit in the American League Central, turned to outfielder Dewayne Wise to pitch a scoreless ninth. Wise also had two of six RBI doubles for the White Sox.

Josh Willingham and Jamey Carroll drove in two runs apiece and every starter had at least one hit as the Twins scored at least seven runs in an inning twice in one game for the second time since 1918.

White Sox starter Jose Quintana (5-4) lost his second straight start, getting battered for seven runs in 1 1/3 innings.

Minnesota erased an early 3-0 deficit with a seven-run second inning, getting consecutive RBI singles from Escobar, Ben Revere, Carroll and Joe Mauer.

The Twins sent 14 batters to the plate in the 10-run fifth, which was capped by Parmelee's three-run blast to extend his hitting streak to seven games and push the lead to 18-4.
