Phillies 3, Dodgers 2: Hunter Pence had a two-run single in the eighth inning and Roy Halladay tossed five solid frames in his return from the disabled list as visiting Philadelphia won its fourth straight game.

Trailing 2-1 in the eighth, the Phillies began their rally with a two-out walk by Chase Utley before both Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz were hit by pitches to load the bases. Kenley Jansen relieved Ronald Belisario (3-1) in a likely bid for a four-out save, but Pence singled to center to plate Utley and John Mayberry Jr., who replaced Howard on the basepaths.

Sidelined since May 27 with a right latissimus dorsi strain, Halladay settled down after issuing four straight base hits - and two runs - in the second inning. The two-time Cy Young Award winner struck out six in a no-decision.

Kyle Kendrick (3-8) picked up the victory after working 1 2/3 innings. Antonio Bastardo struck out his only batter to end the eighth before Jonathan Papelbon secured his 21st save by retiring the side in the ninth.

Jimmy Rollins doubled and scored on Utley's RBI groundout in the first inning for the Phillies, who have won four in a row for the first time since May 23-26.

James Loney and Luis Cruz had back-to-back RBI singles in the second inning for the Dodgers, who fell for the seventh time in eight outings.

Recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque prior to the game, Stephen Fife worked around three walks to allow just one run on four hits in his major-league debut. He was in line for the win before Pence's heroics.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Prior to the game, the Dodgers placed RHP Chad Billingsley on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation. ... Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard was in attendance. He received a favorable reaction when he was pictured on Dodger Vision.
