Phillies 7, Rockies 6: Placido Polanco capped a ninth-inning uprising, reaching on Todd Helton's fielding error as host Philadelphia maintained its mastery of Colorado.

After Hunter Pence tied the game with a two-out double off the left-field wall in the ninth inning, Polanco ended the contest in unconventional fashion. His ground ball up the middle off Rafael Betancourt (1-3) was snared by shortstop Marco Scutaro, but the throw to first base brought Helton off the bag as Pence scored the winning run.

Michael Martinez belted a three-run homer and Jimmy Rollins had an RBI double for the Phillies, who defeated the Rockies for the 22nd time in their last 26 meetings. The victory was Philadelphia's second straight and fifth in 17 contests overall.

With his mother and father in attendance, Dexter Fowler gave Colorado a 6-5 lead in the ninth inning after lining a fastball from Jonathan Papelbon (1-2) to shallow right. Wilin Rosario, who launched a three-run homer earlier in the contest, came around to score to quiet the crowd at Citizens Bank Park.

Michael Cuddyer and Chris Nelson added solo shots for the reeling Rockies, who have dropped 12 of their last 13 games.

Carlos Gonzalez returned after a two-game absence with a strained left knee and went 2-for-4.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia second baseman Chase Utley went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer for Class-A Clearwater on Wednesday. Utley, who played eight innings, is working his way back to the majors as he deals with his chronically injured knees. ... Colorado right-hander Jeremy Guthrie tossed three perfect innings with two strikeouts in his first appearance out of the bullpen this season. ... The crowd of 43,729 is the smallest announced total this season at Citizens Bank Park.
