Padres 6, Phillies 1:
Nick Hundley homered, tripled and drove in four runs as host San Diego won consecutive games for the first time this season.

Anthony Bass (1-2) allowed an unearned run and three hits in six innings for the Padres, who had lost 13 straight games at home to Philadelphia prior to Saturday. Joe Thatcher, Luke Gregerson and Ernesto Frieri combined to pitch three scoreless innings of relief.

Joe Blanton (1-3) allowed six runs (three earned) and seven hits in six innings for the Phillies, who have scored only 10 runs in their last six games.

San Diego took a 2-0 lead in the first on Chase Headley's RBI double and Hundley's sacrifice fly.

The Padres went ahead 4-1 in the third when Headley walked and scored on Hundley's triple. Headley came in after Yonder Alonso reached on first baseman Jim Thome's throwing error.

Hundley drove a 1-1 offering from Blanton into the left-center field seats for a two-run homer in the fifth.

Juan Pierre had three hits for Philadelphia.
