Phillies 4, Padres 1: Cole Hamels allowed one run in six innings as Philadelphia continued its mastery of host San Diego with its 13th consecutive victory at Petco Park.

Shane Victorino homered and Juan Pierre had a two-run, go-ahead single as the Phillies beat the Padres for the second straight night and improved to 24-4 in their last 28 games in San Diego.

Hamels (2-1), a San Diego native, won his fourth straight start at Petco, allowing one run on six hits in six innings. His streak of 22 scoreless innings at Petco ended when Cameron Maybin tripled and scored on Jesus Guzman's groundout in the fifth.

Jose Contreras and Chad Qualls each threw a scoreless inning before Jonathan Papelbon secured his fifth save to send San Diego to its eighth loss in nine games.

Padres starter Edinson Volquez (0-2) cruised through six innings with a two-hit shutout before running into trouble in the seventh, when three straight singles loaded the bases to end his night.

Brian Schneider greeted reliever Andrew Cashner with an RBI single and Pierre singled to right to plate two runs for a 3-1 lead.

Victorino, Schneider, Ty Wigginton and Freddy Galvis had two hits apiece as the Phillies moved to .500.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Contreras made his first appearance since June 19, 2011. He suffered an elbow injury and eventually underwent surgery in September. ... Volquez was 2-0 with an 0.83 ERA against the Phillies, but he had not faced them since 2008. ... San Diego has scored only seven runs in the last eight losses to Philadelphia. ... The Phillies' 13 straight wins at Petco is a franchise record for the most wins in a row at an opposing stadium. ... Maybin was mired in a 1-for-19 slump before his triple.
