Pirates 5, Phillies 4: Andrew McCutchen’s two-out single in the bottom of the ninth lifted Pittsburgh to its second walk-off win in as many days against Philadelphia.

Casey McGehee began the decisive rally with a leadoff double to left-center field against David Herndon (0-1), moving to third on a sacrifice bunt by Alex Presley. After Jose Tabata struck out, McCutchen drove the eighth pitch of his at-bat into deep center field, scoring pinch runner Josh Harrison with the game-winner.

Joel Hanrahan (1-0) got the win after striking out two during a 1-2-3 top of the ninth.

Facing a 4-1 deficit at the seventh-inning stretch, the Pirates scored twice in the bottom of the inning and then tied it in the eighth on a pinch-hit single by rookie Matt Hague.

Hunter Pence gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead, doubling to score Shane Victorino in the first inning and then hitting a one-out home run in the fourth against Pittsburgh starter James McDonald.

Vance Worley worked six innings for Philadelphia, striking out five and allowing five hits and a walk. He gave up just one run, a leadoff homer by Pedro Alvarez in the fifth inning. McDonald surrendered two runs on just three hits in his six innings for the Pirates.

McGehee sparked Pittsburgh’s seventh-inning surge, plating Alvarez with a double and then scoring on a single by Presley, who had driven in the game-winning run for the Pirates in the 10th inning on Saturday.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hague’s game-tying single was the first hit of his major league career. ... The Pirates are 9-4 at home against the Phillies since the start of the 2009 season. ... Antonio Bastardo was tagged with a blown save after allowing the tying run in the eighth.
