Astros 3, Mets 1: Jordan Lyles tossed six solid innings to record his first victory in nearly two months and Tyler Greene belted a solo homer as visiting Houston presented Tony DeFrancesco with his first win as the team's interim manager.

Brandon Barnes and Lyles had back-to-back RBI doubles in the second inning for the Astros, who snapped a seven-game losing streak by winning for just the eighth time in 51 contests.

David Wright belted his 200th career homer for the reeling Mets, who have dropped six in a row and 30 of 41.

Wright's one-out blast in the fourth inning was the lone mistake by Lyles (3-10), who posted his first win since June 26. The 21-year-old right-hander snapped a six-game losing skid by allowing one run on three hits while striking out four.

Two relievers bridged the gap to Wilton Lopez, who recorded the final four outs for his second save.

Houston opened the scoring in the second inning after Barnes ripped a fastball from Jonathon Niese (10-7) into the left-center field gap to plate Chris Snyder. Barnes came around to score after Lyles smashed an inside fastball into left field for just his fourth hit of the season.

Niese also allowed homer to Greene to lead off the seventh inning. The left-hander fell to the Astros for the second time this season and third career after yielding three runs on six hits in seven frames.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright became the third member of the Mets to record 200 homers, joining Darryl Strawberry (252) and Mike Piazza. Wright had failed to go deep in his previous 92 at-bats before launching a shot which caromed off the base of the right-field foul pole. Wright has 100 blasts at home and away. ... Niese ventured at least six innings for the 15th straight start. ... Barnes' RBI double was his sixth career hit - and first for extra bases.
