Yankees 6, Braves 2:
Derek Jeter drove in the tying and go-ahead runs in a three-run fifth inning and CC Sabathia pitched his first complete game of the season as host New York extended its winning streak to 10 games.

Mark Teixeira and Robinson Cano each added a solo home run and Russell Martin doubled in a run for the Yankees, who improved to 11-2 in interleague play.

Atlanta left-hander Mike Minor kept New York hitless through the first four innings but came unraveled in the fifth. Alex Rodriguez led off with a single and Minor walked two, unleashed a wild pitch and yielded three hits in the frame. Martin cut the deficit to 2-1 and Jeter capped the rally with his two-run single up the middle.

Minor (3-5) yielded Teixeira’s 12th homer in the sixth and lasted 5 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out seven.

Sabathia (9-3) allowed single runs in first and the fifth innings but surrendered only one hit the rest of the way. The burly left-hander struck out 10 and allowed seven hits and two runs while walking one.

Jeter padded the lead with another RBI single in the seventh and Cano’s 13th homer came in the eighth.

Michael Bourn and Martin Prado each drove in a run for the Braves, who have dropped seven of eight.
