Yankees 10, Red Sox 3: Curtis Granderson hit a grand slam and Raul Ibanez and Russell Martin belted two-run homers as host New York bludgeoned Boston to become the first team to 60 wins.

Phil Hughes (10-8) allowed three runs - all solo homers - and five hits in seven innings as the Yankees improved to 6-1 against the Red Sox this season.

Mark Teixeira contributed a pair of RBIs for New York, which opened a nine-game homestand by handing Boston its sixth loss in seven games.

Dustin Pedroia, Carl Crawford and Jarrod Saltalamacchia went deep for the Red Sox, who dropped 11 1/2 games behind the division-leading Yankees in the American League East.

Aaron Cook (2-4) lasted only four innings, giving up six runs on seven hits to fall to 0-3 in his last four starts.

Boston got on the board in its first at-bat when Pedroia clubbed his eighth homer of the year, but New York went ahead for good with three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Ibanez, who came in batting .455 (5-for-11) with four RBIs against Cook, launched a high fastball into the right-field seats for a 3-1 lead after Boston failed to turn a potential inning-ending double play on Teixeira's RBI groundout.

After the Red Sox closed within a run, Martin slammed his 11th homer to extend the lead to 6-3 after four innings and Granderson capped the scoring with New York's major league-leading seventh grand slam in the eighth.
