Orioles 2, Red Sox 1: Wei-Yin Chen allowed one run in seven innings and Baltimore set a franchise record by winning at Fenway Park for the seventh consecutive time.

Robert Andino had an RBI single in a two-run sixth inning as the Orioles improved to 5-0 against Boston this season to remain atop the American League East.

Chen (5-2) allowed seven hits and did not walk a batter to outduel Josh Beckett and win for the first time in his last four starts. Jim Johnson worked a perfect ninth for his 18th save, one night after blowing his first chance of the season.

Beckett (4-6) was a hard-luck loser, yielding two runs on five hits in eight innings. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.

Beckett faced the minimum 15 batters through five innings, allowing only a leadoff single in the fourth, before giving up three straight singles in the sixth to lose the lead.

Andino's run-scoring single plated the tying run and Ryan Flaherty scored the go-ahead run on Endy Chavez's groundout.

Boston opened the scoring in the third when Darnell McDonald doubled, moved to third on Marlon Byrd's single and scored on Mike Aviles' sacrifice fly.

The Red Sox had runners on second and third with one out in the seventh, but Chen escaped the jam unscathed to preserve the lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Baltimore signed LHP Jamie Moyer on Wednesday and assigned him to Triple-A Norfolk. The 49-year-old Moyer became the oldest starter to register a win in the majors with Colorado on April 17. He was released by the Rockies after getting pounded in back-to-back starts late last month. ... Red Sox RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka is scheduled to return to the rotation and start Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. It will be the eve of Matsuzaka's one-year anniversary of undergoing Tommy John surgery. Matsuzaka was winless in six rehab starts with Triple-A Pawtucket, going 0-2 with a 3.37 ERA. ... The Orioles selected Hall of Famer Cal Ripken's son, Ryan Ripken, in the 20th round of Wednesday's major league draft. ... Struggling Boston 1B Adrian Gonzalez was dropped to the No. 6 spot in the batting order.
