Rangers 14, Orioles 3: Brandon Snyder homered and drove in six runs and Matt Harrison bounced back from two rough performances as visiting Texas snapped Baltimore’s five-game winning streak.

Michael Young added a homer and three RBIs and Josh Hamilton hit a two-run blast for the Rangers, who had dropped four of five.

The Orioles played a 17-inning marathon in Boston on Sunday and offered little resistance to Harrison in the early going. They did not get on the board until the sixth, when Robert Andino hit a solo homer.

Harrison (4-2), who had allowed a total of 14 earned runs in 8 1/3 innings over his previous two starts, ended up charged with three runs on six hits while striking out three and walking one.

Texas provided plenty of support for its left-hander, starting with Snyder’s two-run single to center in the second inning. The Rangers added a run in the third on Young’s sacrifice fly before breaking it open against Brian Matusz (1-4) in the sixth.

Snyder, who was drafted in the first round by Baltimore in 2005, capped a four-run rally by taking a 2-2 pitch from Matusz and sending it over the wall in center for a three-run blast - his second career homer.

The Orioles called up Stu Pomeranz and Jason Berken earlier in the day to aid their beleaguered bullpen. Pomeranz went three scoreless frames but Berken was not up to the task, getting hammered for seven runs - two earned - on six hits in the ninth as the Rangers broke it open.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Orioles SS J.J. Hardy went 3-for-4 on Monday and is 8-for-12 over the last two games. … Snyder was playing third base in place of Adrian Beltre (hamstring), who served as designated hitter. … Hamilton’s homer was his 10th, bumping him back into sole possession of first place in the AL home run race. His 28 RBIs lead the league as well.
