Dioner Navarro broke a scoreless tie with an eighth-inning home run off Wilton Lopez and the Los Angeles Dodgers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the visiting Houston Astros on Sunday.
Matt Guerrier (3-3) earned the win after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. Javy Guerra worked a perfect ninth inning for his second save.
Hiroki Kuroda pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out six for the Dodgers, who improved to 1-5 on their season-long 12-game homestand.
The Astros were held to just three hits after outscoring the Dodgers 14-3 in the first two games of the series.
Starting in place of the injured Rod Barajas, Navarro homered with one out in the eighth off Lopez (1-3), who gave up his first earned run during a day game in 14 innings.
Astros starter Bud Norris allowed one hit over six scoreless innings with one walk and five strikeouts. He has given up one run over his last 13 innings but has received zero run support in that span.
