Juan Miranda’s power and Chris Young’s good fortune allowed the Arizona Diamondbacks to rally from a six-run deficit and post a 7-6 victory over the host Houston Astros on Friday.

Miranda belted a pair of two-run homers to ignite the comeback as the Diamondbacks recorded their fourth straight victory and 12th in 14 games.

Arizona scored three times in the seventh to take the lead. Kelly Johnson singled in a run to make it 6-5 and two runs scored on a bases-loaded tapper by Young that trickled about 40 feet down the third-base line.

Astros reliever Wilton Lopez (1-2) tried for the force at home but his throw bounced off the left hip of Ryan Roberts and got past catcher Humberto Quintero. Johnson scored the go-ahead run on Lopez’s throwing error.

Diamondbacks closer J.J. Putz retired Carlos Lee on an infield pop fly with the tying run on second in the ninth for his 15th save.

Houston led 6-0 before Miranda launched a two-run homer in the fifth. Miranda hit another two-run shot the following inning to finish the night of Houston starter Brett Myers.

Michael Bourn had three hits and three RBIs for the Astros.

Bourn had a two-run double to highlight Houston’s three-run second inning. He later scored on Jeff Keppinger’s single.

Bourn singled home Clint Barmes in the fourth to give the Astros a six-run lead.

Diamondbacks starter Daniel Hudson (6-5) gave up six runs – five earned – and eight hits in six innings.
