Randy Wolf threw six solid innings and received plenty of support as the Milwaukee Brewers rolled to a 9-0 victory over Roy Halladay and the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.

Ryan Braun homered and Casey McGehee broke the game open with a three-run homer off reliever David Herndon in a six-run seventh.

The Brewers (9-8) will go for a three-game sweep Wednesday against Cliff Lee.

The Phillies (10-6), who managed only two hits, have lost two straight for the first time this season. They were handcuffed by Wolf (2-2), who spent the first eight seasons of his career in Philadelphia. The lefthander allowed two hits in six innings to improve to 3-0 in four starts against his former team.

He fared much better than the reigning National League Cy Young award winner. Halladay (2-1), who was coming off his first complete game of the season, allowed a season-high six runs and 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings. He left after allowing an RBI single to Prince Fielder, which gave the Brewers a 4-0 lead.

Herndon relieved Halladay and allowed the first two hitters to reach before McGehee’s drive to left just cleared the fence to make it 7-0. Pinch hitter Erick Almonte’s two-run single off Mike Zagurski capped the outburst.
