Martin Prado had four hits, including an RBI single in the top of the 11th inning, as the Atlanta Braves handed the Florida Marlins their sixth consecutive loss, 4-3 on Tuesday.

Atlanta's Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to 30 games with an infield single in the fifth to match the Los Angeles Dodgers' Andre Ethier for the longest streak in the majors this season.

Uggla is within one game of Rico Carty's franchise record of 31 set in 1970.

Prado hit a solo home run and added an RBI single to help the Braves build a 3-0 lead, but the Braves' bullpen couldn't hold it.

Braves starter Brandon Beachy was dominant for six innings - he struck out 10 and allowed three hits. But he walked two batters before leaving with two outs in the seventh, and John Buck greeted reliever Anthony Varvaro with a towering home run to left to tie it.

Prado's winning hit followed Michael Bourn's two-out double.

George Sherrill (3-1) pitched a scoreless 10th and Craig Kimbrel worked around a lead-off walk in the 11th for his 36th save.

Alex Gonzalez extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single in the second for the Braves, who have won eight of the 11 meetings with Florida this season and have allowed only 27 runs in those games.

The Marlins lost the first six games of their homestand to drop to 24-38 at home.

The start was delayed for 1 hour, 22 minutes because of rain.
