Placido Polanco, Cole Hamels and Wilson Valdez each banged out RBI doubles as the Philadelphia Phillies completed a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 4-2 victory Sunday night.

The Phillies got the RBI doubles in each of the first three innings to take a quick 3-0 lead against Dave Bush (1-4) en route to handing the Brewers their sixth straight loss.

Hamels (4-2) gave up two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings to win his second consecutive start. The left-hander surrendered back-to-back solo homers to Casey McGehee and Corey Hart in the sixth to make it 3-2.

Philadelphia (23-13) added an insurance run in the eighth when Shane Victorino scored on a Carlos Villanueva wild pitch – one that came while Chase Utley was striking out. That would have been the final out but Utley reached base and Victorino came home.

J.C. Romero came on in the ninth to earn his first save of the season and just the fifth of his career in 575 games.

Bush gave up three runs on nine hits in place of scheduled starter Doug Davis, who was put on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with an inflammation around his heart.

Milwaukee (15-22) lost all six games on this homestand and has dropped eight in a row at home. The Brewers are just 4-14 in Milwaukee.
