Ryan Braun hit two homers and Chris Capuano pitched six solid innings as the Milwaukee Brewers closed Miller Park for the season in Sunday's 7-1 triumph over the Florida Marlins.

Lorenzo Cain hit his first big league home run and Prince Fielder went deep for Milwaukee, which took three of four in the series and finished 40-41 at home.

Braun hit a two-run blast in the first off Florida starter Adalberto Mendez (1-2) and added another two-run blast in the third to push his RBI total to 100 for the third straight season. Fielder followed with his 32nd blast of the year.

Capuano (4-4) won 18 games in 2005 – the most in team history since Teddy Higuera won 18 times in 1987 – before injuries and ineffectiveness forced him to the minor leagues for the entire 2008 and 2009 seasons.

But the 32-year-old has found his stride in September and allowed just one run and four hits in six innings in this one to improve to 4-2 all-time against Florida and 23-19 at Miller Park. The lefthander has posted a 2.37 ERA with 21 hits and nine walks in 30 1/3 frames.

Mendez (1-2) was tagged for six runs and six hits in two innings for Florida, which fell to 77-78 as it attempts to post its third straight winning season.
