Tommy Hanson bounced back from the worst start of his career to throw six strong innings and the Atlanta Braves rallied for six runs in the seventh inning to beat the Florida Marlins 7-3 on Wednesday.

After allowing eight runs and failing to get out of the second inning in his last start, Hanson (4-3) gave the Braves a solid outing. The 23-year-old right-hander allowed two runs on four hits over six innings, working around five walks. He also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.

But he didn't stand to earn the win until after he was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the midst of Atlanta's seventh-inning rally, which came against relievers Burke Badenhop (0-5), Dan Meyer and Brian Sanches. Marlins starter Nate Robertson limited the Braves to one run on two hits over six innings and left with the lead, but the bullpen couldn't hold it.

Troy Glaus hit a two-run single and Martin Prado, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann and Yunel Escobar all added RBIs in the big inning for Atlanta, which moved back in front of the Marlins for second place in the National League East.

Florida's Hanley Ramirez hit his eighth home run of the season, a solo shot in the first. Jorge Cantu and Ronny Paulino added RBI singles for the Marlins.
