Clayton Kershaw continued his dominance of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.
Kershaw tossed eight strong innings and Reed Johnson belted a solo homer as the Los Angeles Dodgers recorded a 3-1 triumph over the Diamondbacks.
Trent Oeltjen had an RBI triple and Jay Gibbons added a run-scoring sacrifice fly for Los Angeles (75-79), which secured its 11th win in 13 outings against NL West division-rival Arizona this season.
Kershaw (13-10) improved to 3-0 against the Diamondbacks this year. The 22-year-old left-hander allowed one run and four hits and struck out nine to pick up the victory.
Kenley Jansen relieved Kershaw in the ninth inning and struck out two batters to notch his second save of the season.
Tony Abreu had an RBI double and Kelly Johnson had two hits for Arizona (62-92), which saw its modest three-game winning streak come to an end.
Barry Enright (6-6) dropped his fourth straight start. The rookie right-hander permitted two runs and five hits in eight innings to take the loss.
