The Texas Rangers completed their best road trip in franchise history in dramatic fashion.

The Rangers rallied from a three-run deficit, and pulled out a 5-4 victory in extra innings over the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon to complete a three-game sweep and win their eighth straight on a nine-game road trip.

The game was tied 4-4 in the 10th when Rangers outfielder Julio Borbon led off with a single. Astros reliever Casey Daigle retired the next two batters and then intentionally walked Vladimir Guerrero to get to Josh Hamilton. Houston wanted a lefty-lefty matchup and brought in reliever Gustavo Chacin to face Hamilton.

The move was questionable because at that point Guerrero was 0-for-5 with two strikeouts and Hamilton was 4-for-5.

Hamilton made the Astros pay, as he singled to right to bring in the go-ahead run for the Rangers. He also came through in the ninth with the game-tying RBI single to make the score 4-4 and force extra innings.

Hamilton finished the game 5-for-6 and is now on a 16-game hitting streak and leads the majors with 25 RBIs and 37 hits in June.

The Astros jumped out to a 4-1 lead with two runs in the first and two in the second, but those were the only runs they would score.

Rangers reliever Chris Ray (2-0) earned the victory, while Daigle (0-1) took the loss for the Astros.
