Paul Konerko drove in both runs and Carlos Silva suffered his first loss of the season as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Chicago Cubs, 2-1 on Saturday.
Konerko had three hits, including RBI singles in the first and seventh, in leading the White Sox to their season-high fourth straight win.
Silva (8-1) gave up two runs in seven innings but didn't get much help from his hitters, who had 10 hits but didn't score until Ryan Theriot's two-out RBI single off Bobby Jenks in the ninth inning. Jenks then struck out Chad Tracy to end the game for his 11th save.
Mark Buehrle (4-6) allowed eight hits and struck out seven in 6 2-3 innings.
Silva gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out six. The right-hander had won his last six starts and was the first Cubs starter to go 8-0 since Ken Holtzman went 9-0 in 1967.
Theriot and Marlon Byrd had three hits apiece for the Cubs.
The White Sox have won the first two games in the series between the crosstown rivals.
