Andruw Jones’ second home run of the game - a two-out solo shot in the ninth inning - gave the Chicago White Sox a 7-6 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday.
Jones, who celebrated his 33rd birthday, went deep off Mark Lowe (1-2) as the White Sox rallied from a 6-5 deficit.
Jones hit a solo home run in the first and Carlos Quentin and Paul Konerko added solo homers.
The White Sox, who had lost six of seven, got within a run on Alex Rios' game-tying double in the seventh.
The Sox had taken a 5-2 lead into the seventh, but that was wiped out by Jose Lopez's grand slam off J.J. Putz.
Matt Thornton (2-1) struck out five in 2 1/3 innings in relief of starter Gavin Floyd, who allowed five runs in 6 1/3 innings.
