Ryan Sweeney's two-run single with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Oakland Athletics a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the slumping Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.
Ty Wigginton's eighth-inning sacrifice fly had given Baltimore a 3-2 lead, but closer Jim Johnson, filling in for the injured Mike Gonzalez, couldn't get the job done.
Johnson (0-1) gave up two runs - hurting his own cause with two wild pitches that gave the A's runners at second and third with one out. He then intentionally walked Daric Barton to load the bases before Sweeney lined a 3-2 pitch to right field, scoring the winning runs.
It was Johnson's second blown save of the season and the Orioles ninth straight defeat.
Joey Blevins (2-0) picked up the win with a perfect ninth inning.
Oakland took a 2-0 lead after five innings before the Orioles rallied in the sixth when Garrett Atkins tied the game with a two-run single.
